TPMS question . . .

How much pressure loss before warning light comes on?
Is it loss from the suggested 33lb of pressure called out or loss from from you have set the pressure at?

it's loss from the suggested pressure. not exactly sure what the threshold is, but i think it's like 28lbs or something.

Yes, the last time my light went off the actual pressure was 28 psi, down from the 33 I put into the cold tires.

I have 19 inch wheels in my car now and fill them to 36 psi which is whats recommended for them. Does the TPMS still only turn on at 28 psi? Do I need to ask the dealer to "reprogram" the TPMS to now turn on at like 32 psi (4 psi less than what the tire is supposed to be)?

That may be misleading. If you, let’s say, overinflate your tires to 40 psi, and you lose that 4 in one of them, I doubt the light will go on at 36. The manual doesn’t say anything that specific, but it does mention the system is trying to prevent tires from overheating leading to failure by illuminating the light if a tire is “significantly” underinflated.
