The knocking/ticking is definitely the oil.
You have a 2008 G37 Coupe. It's definitely not the oil. It's the engine. There's a Technical Service Bulletin for knocking in your car. Ask the dealer to perform it.

Last time I went to the dealer, I had asked to make sure all TSBs had been done, which he said they had.

Last time my car was making the sound, I made a video of it on my phone, so I'll show it to them the next time I go.

Also, where do you guys get your Redline oil from? Any one aware of sites that offer free shipping and have good prices?

I buy it locally, but check Amazon. There is a dealer on one of the370Z site that sells it, but I can't link it here....

I bought a case a year ago off Amazon because it offered free shipping. Cases are 12. Then I went ahead and bought 2-4 packs off another site which offered free shipping. That way I had 20, which was good for 4 oil changes.

This issue popped up just in time. I need an oil change, and the guys who tuned my car about a month ago said that Motul would be great, too, so I'm going for that.

If you're ever through Towson, there's a little shop that stocks the entire Red Line product line and has fair/decent prices.
