Affordable TPSMs???

So... my wheels got stolen, but I never purchased TPSMs after it all (long story..). I got a really bad flat recently & decided it's time to get some. However, the stealership is saying its gonna cost me about $260/EACH . Not too happy about that.. Does anyone know any other place I can get them at for a cheaper cost? I think its kinda ridiculous... plus I'm at 30k miles & they're saying its gonna cost $700+ for the maintenance work.

Have you tried Ebay or Craiglist?

Not to steal thread, but how do you install this and do they have to be reprogrammed?

Thanks! I saw that post, but I'm looking for a credible source. My car's been giving me problems here & there so I'm looking for something reliable & guaranteed.

I'm not sure how to install this? I was just going to have a shop do this for me cuz I'm getting new wheels (my old Vossens are chipping everywhere!!!). And from what I've read, unfortunately you have to get it reprogrammed at the dealer...

The Orange sensors should be compatible. IIRC, there was someone on 'Driver that successfully paired these with the car.

Be careful with this though, in mid model year 2010 a sensor spec change occured and you must use the right one if you are in that range or 2011.

They are easy to install, just like a valve on a wheel. Very quick and hassle free. Once they are installed all you have to do is go to the dealership and have them reset the system to work with the sensors. and FYI, 30k service will run you anywhere from $500 to $1k depending on where you go and how thorough you want them to be. $700 is standard, but you can save some $$ by having someone outside the dealership perform the services. Search on here to find more info on the service.

Sorry, but have to ask a dumb question. I have a 2011 vert with the 19 inch wheels. I don't like the wheels, so I am taking the wheels off and got a set of 19 2010 sport vert wheels instead, but those do not come with the TPMS. Will this be an issue, other than the light coming on?

Transfer the tpms from the 2011 wheels over to the 2010 wheels. The car will be none the wiser. No lights should come on.

^^^^ what he said. People need to realize the TPMS are not some special part, they are sensors built into the valves on the wheel, you don't even have to fullying dismount the tires to swap them, just break 1 side free. It should take about 15 minutes at a tire shop and cost around $60- $80 depending on the shop, and this includes rebalancing if you choose to do so.
