I've got a floor jack with that exact adapter, but I've never been able to figure out how the adapter connects with the floor jack. It sounds like the simplest thing...maybe mine is compatible(?)

Remove the round plate, pop in the pinch weld adapter in its place.

I feel like I've done that, but I'll have to try it again. Thanks.

I am getting new wheels and tires tomorrow and would love to just jack the car up from the middle, but don't think that is safe. I will check the manual, but is the subframe rail the best place? I have the big floor jack from Sears. Don't know if it is a 3 ton or 4 ton jack. I have stock wheels/tires and stock suspension on my vert.

TIA

Just make sure you use jack stands and it'll be fine. It would be a good idea to chock the two wheels left on the ground.

^ I don't use jack stands. I have my car up right now on 18 bricks and around 50 magazines. It seems pretty stable to me, definitely a lot of work than just 4 jack stands, didn't have time to get them though

It might not fit under the car.

Sedan or coupe?

On my sedan i went through several car jacks before finally settling on the Arcan, which slid under the front jack point with ease (OEM suspension). Even Harbor Freight's "low-profile" jack's had trouble getting underneath.

Now that the car is dropped, i do have to raise from the side by a couple of inches or drive up ramps to be able to slide the Arcan.
