What is wrong with my car???

So i started the car this morning, everything was fine. I haven't driven it since Sunday. On tuesday i jacked up the left side of the car to put my wheels on and install headlights, then realized i got the wrong lugs so put the stocks back on and lowered the car back down (I don't think this has anything to do with it just added some details)

So as i pull down my road (Car warmed up) i step on the gas and the car starts to like voilently stutter.. No clue why. So i try again, and it get's to about 4k rpm and starts to stutter again. Everything is fine at lower rpm's but it won't even go above 5k.

So i pulled over and tried to rev it above 5k. It got there and just would not pass 5k, so i kept the pedal floored and finally it broke above. Then i revved it a couple more times and it seemed like everything was fine.

Nope, got back on the road and tried going above 4k and stutters again...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I would hate to have to take off the exhaust and inatake and head to the dealer...

Did you bump your MAF sensor loose. If its not that just take it to the stealer.

Noob question, but where is my MAF sensor? Could i have knocked it loose while taking off the front wheel, and removing wheel well plastics?

Its the sensor thingy that plugs in to your intake tubes. Not likely you would have hit going through the wheel well but you never know.

Define "install headlights". Did you just put in new bulbs?

Its very strange that you arent getting a check engine light.

I would revert back to stock intakes and reset the ECU.

If you are still having problems, take it to the dealer.

Yea that's what i thought, but couldn't remember if the sensor was still up near the engine or down by the filters..

What a pain in the ***.. Looks like a trip to the dealer.

You think they will give me a hard time for the intake and exhaust?

^ Revert back to stock intakes before taking it in. Much easier than exhaust. If its the MAF sensor and you have aftermarket intakes, absolutely.

I didn't actually install the headlights, i took of the driver side wheel and started taking the clips off of the wheel well, wiggled the plastic around and said "**** it" lol and didn't finish installing the lights bc i was still pissed that i bought the wrong lug nuts.

As far as the intakes, i have had the injen's on for probably 3k miles or so now without any issues..

I said the same thing that it is weird no CEL is coming on with such an issue.. I would imagine if it were the MAF a CEL would show up almost immedietly..

It doesn't matter if you take the intakes off or not, if there is a problem with the MAF and you've changed intakes they will be able to tell, so there really isn't any reason to go through the trouble of changing it.

I would just leave all your stuff on and take it to the dealership as is.
