Windows keep rolling down automatically?!
Hey guys, I have a 2009 S and been enjoying it since January of this year. Just recently been parking my car outside the garage (renovation) and leave it out under the sun for a couple of hours. My problem is that with the ignition off, key out of the car, all windows rolled up, doors unlocked.. at about 30-45 minutes of the car under the sun, both windows will just simply roll all the way down. I don't see the windows going down b/c I'm usually doing something else.. but for sure I know 100% that I left them up before turning off the car. This has happened 4 times.. and luckily only happens in front of my house and not elsewhere. Pretty sure that this is not a temp. control where when the interior of the car gets too hot, the windows will be automatically put down... seems dumb. Has anyone experience this before?
Thanks
Thanks

I would also blame the key in your pocket. Next time you park outside, remove the smart key from your pocket, then check that the windows haven't already rolled down. There is a good chance they wont roll down after you put the key away.
I put one of Grubb's rubber jackets over each of my smart keys. This recesses the buttons a bit. Thought I wouldn't have anymore problems with the key in my pocket. A few days later all my windows had rolled down while the car was in the garage. Before I put the jacket over the key, my trunk unlocked twice in 2 weeks.
I take a trip in 2 weeks and I will be staying in different motels, for 3 weeks. I will constantly have to check the car and make sure the windows and trunk haven't opened.

I'm going with the key also. I had this happen to me once and I was quite baffled by it. I read through the owner's manual when I got my car, but you know, there's parts you skim. An Internet search showed me that you could roll the windows down with the keyfob in the G, so it was pretty clear that's what happened. I found later there actually is a paragraph about it in the owner's manual somewhere.

Just noticed your post, I just posted some info on this coincidentally: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...nsult-iii.html
The dealer can disable this function on your remote to avoid "pocket dialing".
