Here is my latest UOA on Mobil 1 with an OEM oil filter. I am trying Pennzoil Ultra this time and I switched to Wix for my filter, so we will see next time if there is a difference.

damn, can't see pics at work...I'm thinking of switching to Penzoil Ultra as well, I've heard really good things about it (comparable to Mobil1 but I'd like to give it a shot)...post up if you notice any big differences!

Iron is interesting. I read the last thread where you posted and had similar concerns from Blackstone. I think I would also try something different from the Mobil 1 and see if that reduces your Iron wear. Good choice to change to PU and see if it alleviates that. After 2 UOAs with the mileage you have and the Iron level, Im not sure that you can attribute it to break in..... although some will disagree.

But good news is your Mobil 1 isnt shearing down like the Nissan Ester oil is. Its actually staying at its weight.

I look forward to the PU UOA. I debated PU or Redline and went with Redline for my last fill so Im curious to see how PU does.

You get your UOA for PU? Here's my UOA with M1 and oem filter. Have PU in the car now.

I just picked up PU at walmart today. I've been running PP before that and have had no problems with it. I'm wondering whether the PU is worth the 8 extra dollars (5Q PP is 20.50 5Q PU is 28.00 at walmart).

Has anyone run a UOA on PU in our motors yet?

I'll probably send it in after I run through mine. I've had PU in for about 500 miles now, haha. Purolator pureone filter in btw.
