keep AC on recirculate?

keep AC on recirculate?
I noticed that when I turn off the AC and turn it back on, the AC goes from recirculate air to fresh air, or whatever it's called, even if the AC setting was on recirculate before I turn off the AC. Is there a way to set the AC so that it stays on recirculate air even if I turn it off?

Mine goes back to recirculate automatically. I was told that the car switches automatically depending on the weather so it might have to do with where you are located. In SFL it's usually hot and humid.
