Ester Oil Change Intervals?
I used the search button, but couldn't find my answer. What is the regular oil change interval when using the Nissan ester oil? I'm having an issue with the knocking/ticking sound coming from the VVEL and I've had the TSB done which fixed the annoying tick, but once I switched to a synthetic blend, the noise came back. I'm thinking about just going with the ester oil and just doing the oil changes myself.
Synthetic blend is good for 7500miles
Full synthetic is good for 10,000 miles
regular dino oil is good for 3750miles.
Where does the ester oil fall under?

Should be safe around 5,000 miles IMO.
For the record, I have nothing to back up that statement, but I'm assuming it's ok since you can easily hit 5,000 miles on conventional blend oil nowadays. Better additives/formulas and increased viscosity found in today's conventional blends along with cleaner running engines = longer mileage intervals.
