Time for another oil change

Well tomorrow I go in for my 3rd oil change. Will be just shy of 12000 miles. Now on my first two changes i just let the dealer put in the normal stuff they have. But now I wonder if I should go with something different or if i need that ester stuff everyones talking about. Especially since I got some miles on the car now. I read some people like to switch to synthetic after about 10k. Also this sunday I might be doing a track event. Would it be benificial to have a different oil put in for this? I will probably be doing a few more of these through out the summer. I've searched around a little bit but haven't come up with anything conclusive. I was wondering what you guys recomend. Also I dont want to break the bank on an oil change either. Thanks in advance.

Go with something else. You owe it to your car

Eneos 5W30 is what I use.

Motul seems to be a crowd favorite as well.

Better oil = less of a chance of any kind (even minimal) of engine damage during your track event.

You should call them. I know my local Infiniti carries both Eneos and Motul (Riverside Infiniti) but they aren't your average dealership

Chances are you're gonna have to start calling your local shops and have to buy some. Better get the phone out, you got less than an hour!

Well I got to the dealer and talked with the service manager and he told me a little more about synthetics, and how its good to switch after about 10000miles. He's been using synthetic in his infiniti since he got it and it's running fine at 130,000 miles. They have Mobil 1 in stock so i went with that. Thanks again for the help gamedog.
