Trunk wont open

Ok everything was fine the other day and like this morning my brother told me open the trunk so i stood in the house like i usually did and hit my keyfob but this time it didnt open so i thought it was my keyfob and got my other one and press it and it didnt work either.

I then walk to my trunk and press the chrome button and it opens so i closed it then i went in my car and hit the other trunk button adn it work.

I close it and try again with my fob and it still wont open and i dont know what the fck is going on. can someone please help me? should i disconnect my battery?

I had a trunk issue this morning myself. I opened the trunk using the key fob, closed the trunk and started the car. The message center came up saying that the trunk was open. I checked to see if I had not shut it completely, but it was shut. I opened and shut it once more and the light is still on indicating the trunk is open. Very strange. I also cannot open the trunk with the outside button located on the rear left tail light. The vallet button is off.

Taking it in tomorrow to have it checked out. Has anyone experienced this before?

if you had the trunk locked in the glove box then it wouldn't be able to open from the front button of the car. i would go have them check out the programming if someone was messing w/ the frequency reading.

Haha... yeah, no bodies. The vallet switch was not messed with. The inside trunk release on the console opens the trunk fine as well as the key fob. Two obvious issues are the outside button will not open the trunk and the fact that the message center is indicating the trunk is open when it's not. I'll see what they find tomorrow and update the thread.

Hmmm... thanks for the advice. Well, I got up this morning to take the car in and the message was no longer appearing. Very strange. I don't if there may be a loose wire near the trunk sensor. I had the dealer install the spoiler last week, but the only wiring involved was to connect the brake light off the spoiler. I'll do a closer inspection today when I disconnect the third brake light in the rear window.
