Search is your friend...

The windows go down after you disconnect your battery. Get in the car, close the door turn the car to on, let the windows go all the way down. Then pull the switch and hold it till the window is all the way up and hold the switch for like 3 seconds after it's all the way up. Then do the other side.

Yeah in the owner's manual they give you step by step directions for what to do before and after you disconnect the battery. How long do "normal" batteries last anyway? Like, if I leave my car for a month w/o turning it on, is the battery for sure going to die? My parents had a 2004 Audi A4 and sometimes we'd leave it in the garage for over a month with no problems.

More info.

Fella! After a month of usage Red Top Battery. So i try it again leave my car for 2 days and here is result

* The Optima Red Top also responses the same as Reg.Battery.The car has weak start up.there is something that keep our Battery Power Drainning

I try again 3 time and it was the same showing poor start up.I guess this G need to Run every day or Two.If you leave it for more than 3-4 days or a week i think the battery will be gone otherwise you'll need to recharge it.

there is one issue may be the cause was the Rear Passenger Dome Light is on all the time when you put it on auto.Even when all door was closed it's still on.Only when i turn it off then it all off.WTF!!!!

Infiniti should go back and check this issue for us!!!!

I used to travel all the time and the first time I was gone for about 2 weeks, my battery was dead. I finally disconnected my Ipod in the center console, and have not had a problem since then. Last time, I was gone over 2 months with no problems. Just a thought!

Yesterday my car almost didn't start in the morning so I went to AutoZone for a second opinion and had them test it and they said it is definatly bad. Infiniti tested it twice and said it was fine . WTF? So I went home and later that day tried to start it again and it was dead! There is definatly something wrong and I went to Infiniti this morning to talk to them and they said they were already full for the day and couldnt look at it and I said I had it tested at AutoZone and know it is the battery that is the problem and they still said they have to look at it and test it themselves before they can even do anything. I'm about to say screw it and just go buy one myself and not risk getting another bad one from infiniti.

Maybe the best policy is to call for Infiniti service whenever the battery goes dead...then they will get the message?

just an fyi related to this thread

im on a second battery from infiniti , 5months on this batt, these past 2 weeks have been slow start ups, and twice, once a week it was unable to start.
it's getting to the point i can never rely on my car to start, im at the point i pray when i push the clutch in, and push that button.

ill be trying to get an optima redtop in there. but it seems it must be some sort of electrical drain instead a double wammy of bad batteries any thoughts?

Thumbs down

Redtop won't help! Mine 08 G35X on second battery which i have use REDTOP but trust me it's not a battery issue. It's electical draining somewhere
which so far the stealerCHIP couldn't find anything about it.
The REDTOP also perform same as normal battery.Very Poor Start after parking for 2-3 days.
