Considering I live in FL and maybe gets to be 50 here one night a year, I'm not sure if its a good idea to raise or lower the PSI depending upon the outside temperature. However, the PSI can drop about 1 pound every 10 degrees cooler it gets. The tires should be at 35 PSI all around when the tires are cool (have not driven on them in over 4 hours). Check your tires if you just purchased your car because they are most likely around 45-50 PSI.

Remember to check your spare tire every 60 days too or before going on a long trip!

Sounds like a sensor problem to me. Take it to the dealer and have them checked.

You should keep the tire pressure at recommended specs measured with the tires cold. Over/under inflation will cause tire wear problems and affect handling.

When the warning light came on in winter on my G35, I'd air the tires up and it usually took just a few miles of driving before the warning light went out.

It does take awhile for the warning light to go off,
but I did have to have it reset at the dealership on my G35 coupe once.
