ECU reprogramming on Nissan/Infiniti models

Does anyone know of open source software or way(s) to reprogram the stock ECU on Nissan/Infiniti models? The performance shop I went to knew of no way to do it on a Nissan/Infiniti so I thought I would ask here. Just want this for my knowledge and to forward on to a shop so they can reprogram Nissan ECUs for customers. They are using OpenECU right now and that works for the Evo's they work on. Let me know if it is possible but if the ECU is encrypted or protected then it probably is not easy or worth the cost.

cobb tuning is working on an access port as we speak. They are in beta with their 350z access port as we speak. It will be able to tune the factory ecu and set it back to stock when needed. Check out their site and forums. Seems as though technosquare has the ability to flash/reprogram the ecu as well so it is definitely not impossible.
