Mobil 1 Oil Filter M1108

Mobil 1 does not list an oil filter for the G37. They do have one for the G35. It is a M1108. Does anyone know if this will work with the G37?

i've confirmed with the dealerships and saw the oil filter on my car (which is marked nissan btw), that the 35s, 350s, and 37s use the same oil filter

Same filter as the G35... You are good to go. I had autozone look it up one day and I verified on their screen.

Awesome! Nissan did a great job with the VVEL. Made it very easy to change the oil. Most everything is hidden by the black underpinning but there is about a 4-6 inch strip that you can remove the screws from, fold it down and you have direct access to the drain plug and filter. One of the easiest changes I've done. Much easier than the G35.

Good luck!

That will be much nicer than my Subaru. That thing had the full cover underneath the engine the same as this, but it didn't have the nifty access flap.

Every 6000 miles I had to pull that whole cover off.

Finished up the oil change a few minutes ago.

A gorilla must have put the filter on. I had to get out the strap wrench to get it to loosen up and still crushed it some. I was getting worried that it was going to be a screwdriver/hammer job.

It is nice to know that I have another 7500 miles before doing that again.

You can also purchase the Mobil 1 oil filter number M1110. It's just a little bit longer than the 108.

So, you meet the extended drain criteria in the owner's manual? Pretty much everyone else needs to change every 3,750 miles to keep the warranty in effect.

The manual states a 7500 mile oil change interval. I use Mobil 1 oil and Mobil 1 filters. Who is "everyone else"?

My Service and Maintenance Manual says 3,750 mile oil change intervals for: "
1) Repeated short trips of less than 5 miles in
normal temperatures or less than 10 miles in
freezing temperatures
2) Stop-and-go traffic in hot weather or lowspeed
driving for long distances
3) Driving in dusty conditions or on rough,
muddy, or salt-spread roads
4) Towing a trailer, or using a camper
or car-top carrier"

Per Infiniti North America, almost all of their customers drive enough "repeated short trips, stop-and-go traffic or dusty, rough or salt-spread roads" to warrant 3,750 mile oil change intervals.

Per Infiniti North America, almost all of their customers make up the "everyone else" I referred to. Now, maybe ALL of your driving is of trips 20 or more miles without any stopping at speeds of 45-70 mph, but if not, the position of the people who "control" your warranty is that the oil change interval for almost all their customers should be 3,750 miles. As for me, I am glad to honor Infiniti North America's request and change every 3,750 miles to know Infiniti North America will stand behind any engine problems I might have.

P.S. The Owner's Manual also adds "extensive idling" and "aggressive driving" to situations requiring the more frequent oil change interval. It seems that most of the members of this forum, me included, would qualify just under the "aggressive driving" part.
