G37 guidance on Motor Swap
Hey guys I’m still new to the vqvhr37 platform. I have owned my g37 for a couple of months now. It still brings me joy as it’s pretty quick. I would like to get my motor swapped to a lower mileage vqvhr37. Currently I have 205,2xx and it’s currently a daily. The g37 is fbo and tuned. As of lately, it has been giving me the “200k mileage” problems like misfiring, sensors being bad. The car runs fine but I would like to plan on getting a lower mileage motor. Where would you guys recommend getting a new motor? eBay? Fb marketplace? I’m open to suggestions

I prefer to buy and build alliances local/regionally if possible. How much are you budgeting for a replacement motor? Are you even sure you need one? The sensors (upstream/downstream O2?) that are throwing codes today may transfer to the new used motor. Coil packs or plugs could cause a misfire. What codes are you seeing?
