No start no crank, neutral safety switch
I have a g37x and 2010 and I have a no crank no start . I replaced the whole shifter assembly with a used part that seems to be in good working condition , replaced the battery and am now looking at replacing the neutral safety switch I purchased new from orielleys but I can't for the life of me find the location of this thing. Any help would be very much appreciated!

If you have a automatic transmission then that switch you pictured is NOT for your car AT ALL.
On automatics, the PNS (Park/ Neutral Safety) switch is incorporated into the shifter assembly in the center console (which apparently you replaced).
What exactly are your symptoms and why did you replace the shifter assembly? Did you ensure the install went correctly? Everything aligned- including the shift rod under the car?

I see . Yes, I did replace that whole assembly and was able to get it installed correctly . I initially replaced it because I thought the symptoms matched tha of a bad pns switch. The symptoms are I get power , the key is good , and hit the start button and nothing happens . No noise from the starter at all . Battery is brand new as well . I'm guessing I may need to look at the starter relay next but I was guessing the neutral switch because the last time it did start was after I moved the car into neutral and back to park , with the original shifter assembly but never got it to start again after that one time even moving the shifter from park t neutral and back .

The odds that both shifter assemblies exhibit the same symptoms are astronomical. There has to be a separate issue going on.
- Did you ensure that the shifter rod under the car is connected/ adjusted correctly? This rod has to be set correctly or the car will not think it is "parked."
- Does the car start in "NEUTRAL?"
- Any messages on the gauge cluster?
I suggest you download the TM (Transmission) section of the factory manual for your car as that will have instructions on how to make sure the control rod is properly adjusted.

Yes, I have tried to start the car in neutral with no success . No warning messages on the dash that would indicate the vehicle isn't recognizing the gear/ position it is in . I also checked to make sure as a way of diagnostics that the reverse lights are coming on ,( they are ) which I've read can be a symptom of a bad pns switch. The kicker to this whole thing.is that I have an interlock system and I am very skeptical it could be a bad connection somewhere in the install but they don't want to play ball in doing their own diag on their system so I am seeming to be stuck with doing my own diagnostics at this time .

Why not remove the gadget and see if the car returns to normal?
