Another G down
Dude ran a red light and struck me without braking at all. Claims his brakes failed on a 2023 RAM 1500.
I know my G37 is totaled. Already miss that car. At least it handled it well as far as I can see protection wise and nobody was seriously hurt.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I would feel devastated as well.
Losing a car that you spent countless hours (years) modifying, only to have some jackazz take that all away from you in an instant... that must really suck.
At least it's just a car, and not your kid. Doesn't help, I know, but... I don't know, I just feel for you, man.

I know now is not the time however there are a few folks behind the insurance with eyes on your car already.
Im sure insurance will get you right however find out if keeping the car is something they'll allow without taking too much out of the car replacement money.
Really surprised as well with the damage being that 2 door replacement will get that car running in FL. Quarter panels on G/Z are a common day's of work for a repair shop.
Not saying you should attempt however selling the car privately or parting out usually results in more money in your hand.
That's if we dont get tired of the entire situation and just take the check.
Sorry for your loss.

Probably going to try to bring her home if they don't try to take too much out of the settlement assuming they total it.. If they want to fix it..*shrug* ok. I'm already looking at some new G37 cars to move my mods to if they do total it and I'll have a low mileage spare engine/transmission as well. The wheel is smashed in so there was also some rear suspension damage.

I found a 2012 G37S coupe I'm going to be looking at tomorrow with low miles. Insurance paid out decently, nearly got what I paid for my 2013 6 years ago, but my mods weren't covered of course.

Can you share what they paid out and the mileage? I heard that insurance companies will pay the higher end of Kelly BB if you can show them examples of the same car in similar condition for sale.

I got $19,200 and the car was at 61,000-62,000 miles. My car was really clean other than some paint blemishes from wear and tear. At least I thought so. They did rate the paint very good. I'm still waiting to get the settlement on the medical side as there was a hospital trip out of abundance of caution for my daughter who took the brunt of it.

On a final note to this I picked up a 2012 G37S coupe, automatic with 37,000 miles on it today. After looking at new cars for a month, they just seem completely overwhelmed with technology that is actually more distracting than just driving the car. HUDs, videos popping into the dash to show your blind spots, distracted driver monitoring alerts, collision avoidance etc.. etc.. And then the prices are insane right now but they are starting to drop. I'll take the G37S and we'll see what's out there when this one is retired.
