$500 for plug-n-play replacement. Seems reasonable to me, assuming good quality and reliability.
Compare that to pricing from custom shops like 180 for your current lights. Is 180 still around?

If those were a smoke grey/black chrome color, I might be all over those.
I think 180 is still around, last I checked a few years ago. I remember one of the owners got a G sedan right around the time I started shopping for one. There was a point in time when I wanted them to color my brakes the Brembo gold color. But the OEM silver color is fine…

I like the blackout look but prefer having the shroud remain chrome. My oem lights have developed the "spider web" cracks. I've looked into replacing just the lenses since they have become available this past year, but would still have to take the time to open them. It's my daily driver so not much time to open, paint, air out and reseal. Just wish I knew the optics were good on these.

Yes, many are aware of AKKON. Usually it's the GT-R style.
There are a lot of complaints about the AKKON brand, though. People tend to say the ALPHAREX ones are superior. Maybe they make a pair with the OEM style, too.
NEW OEM headlights were $2,080 for the Sedan when I bought them a couple years ago. With halos, headlights, clear lenses, upgraded blinkers and paint job they were a total of $3,670, not counting shipping ($89). So if you don't want to do it yourself, and don't want to pay for OEM.. you could do what you were already planning.. or..
You could pay to have someone restore and modify yours. I used Lightwerkz for the ones I described above and they were great.
If you can do without the headlights on your car for a bit while they work on them, it's much cheaper to just have them modify your existing ones. Depending on which mods or upgraded parts you want, they may cost more/less.
