Bigger tire size for the G37

Hi guys, I currently have 225/35/20, 8.5 wheel width, +32 offset on the fronts and rears of my 2012 infiniti g37 sedan. Im looking to put 245/35/20's on the front and 275/30/20's on the rears, but I'm not sure the rear fitment will work since the wheel width is only 8.5. I've been told by mechanics that the fitment wont work because of the big tire size which can possibly suck in the rim because of the small wheel width and make it difficult to air up the tires. I'm not expert and am wondering how true it is.

I hope you have good roads where you're at. Your tires will have practically no sidewall.

I have 275's on a 9" wide wheel. I definitely would not put 275's on anything narrower. 245's will be fine on a 8.5" wide though. That is stock set up on many vehicles.

ETRTO and TRA max tire for 8.5" is 255 section width. Any wider is outside of the standard and will void any tire warranty or may not be serviced by some major shops.

you can do a 255/35R20 which is a 27" diameter and closest to the stock diameter. or do a smaller 255/30R20 at a 26' diameter. this will ride rougher because of the smaller section height.

generally, like stretch tires, you also do't want to mount too wide of a tire as it will cause the tire to bulge and it'll signicantly change the contact shape of the tire, not in a good way for performance and wear.
