Retrofitted Taillights Pics

I've had 3 sets of retrofitted taillights over the years and I wanted to showcase what I had and how they looked on my car. I paid for the service with a couple well-known retrofitters... (FB: John Kevin & IG: @johnnyblaz3customs) vs (FB: Russel Raykin & IG: @go2customs) I was satisfied with the results from both. Sometimes they have tails in stock and will modify them and ship them, and other times you have to ship your tails to them. For the latter, you need to have a daily to drive in the meantime. Here are the pics of my car's progression with taillights starting in order of the following sequence:
1) OEM
2) Johnnyblaz3 retrofitted OEM
3) Go2Customs retrofitted OEM
4) Go2Customs retrofitted clear DEPO lights

OEM LIGHTS TURNED OFF

OEM LIGHTS TURNED ON

OEM vs Johnnyblaz3customs retrofitted taillights

Johnnyblaz3customs OEM retrofitted with satin black paint and 2 halos

OEM Red Lens cover demonstrating look once installed

Johnnyblaz3customs taillights on

Johnnyblaz3customs taillights off

Johnnyblaz3customs taillights with 50% tint overlay added to reverse lights

Go2Customs retrofitted taillights - 4 halos and hydrodipped carbon fiber

Purchased clear DEPO taillights from a grey g37 parting out

Go2Customs transferred everything from previous taillights over and added 2 additional halos so 6 total in each light

Clear retrofitted taillights ftw!

Great examples of different taillights, the red sedan makes for a great canvas/contrast. The quality looks fantastic, almost makes me wish I would have paid to have mine done. Mine are just DIY and very basic, one day I might spoil myself and upgrade.

Oh wow! Great work! I know my limits on wiring. I absolutely hate it so I didn't even attempt and just left it up to those guys to do it for me. But nice job on yours!

All of those tail lights are clean. Makes me miss my G lol. The one thing I wanted to do was get modded tails, but I never got the chance.

At least you were able to move on. I'm stuck with mine lol. I'll never recoup my investment so I decided to just keep it and build it more and more till I finally finish it. Don't know when that'll be. Still so much to do. What are you driving now?

Great post on the comparison.
I didn't realize you added (2) inner leds and it really gives oem-likeness.
When I grow up, I want to be just like you. I need your autograph

Freaking Ultra Instinct tailights

The contrast of this pic is just insane, the hood matches so well with the rest of the car, the chrome V1s are falling behind with the rest of the look

With the clear lens there are so many options to choose and do.
Fantastic

What size halos did you use? If you don’t mind me asking. I’m looking to DIY retrofit my stock tail lights and was wondering what size halos I would need for my 14’ Q/G37s coupe.
