Import g37
Hello everyone, I'm new to this community and I recently imported infiniti g37 or I guess Nissan equivalent of it to Canada. I already bought the headlights and was curious if the DRL requirement would already be completed if I install Canadian headlights or if there's anything extra I need to do?
LIke is there any sort of relay I need to get or something along those lines

You mean you got a Nissan Skyline? What year and where did it come from? Not a right-hand drive car? If the car did not originally have DRL - meaning, the wiring harness, DRL module, relays, fuses, etc. - you may need to do some mods. Should be doable though.

Yeah, a 2007 Nissan skyline sedan (v36) it is right hand drive from Yokohama Japan. I don't think it has DRLs, but I was curious since it's a Nissan, can I just put any Nissan DRL relays and modules?

There is no relay or module that you can add as everything is integrated into the IPDM/er and is not user serviceable. Plus, the BCM is likely not configured to send the CANBUS signal to the IPDM/er to toggle the DRL's. Also, being that the car is JDM-spec, some of the wiring can be very different from other regions (USDM/EU/GCC/etc.).
You will likely have to hack the fog light wiring in order to "trick" the fog relay to come on when the engine is running. This thread is just one example. There are other threads if you search for them. It can be done, but it is not as simple as plugging a box in and calling it a day.
And, to clarify before someone wants to debate the lamps, on 2008/2009 models, the DRL system uses the FOG lights whereas on the 2010+ models the MAIN headlamps (LO BEAM) are used as DRL's (because the fogs were moved from the headlamp assembly to the lower bumper).
