I never drive my car in d or ds it’s always in m unless I don’t have time to let it warm up or if im with my grandma or something but I know I’m not tripping. ever since I got my test pipes installed I’ve noticed 2-3 times when I was shifting probably from 3rd to 4th it did a great job but then immediately shifted to 5th like lugging the motor almost way too early im confused is this a precaution the car is taking because it thinks im going to blow it up? I don’t even rev it out I just shift between 3-4k rpm it’s not in limp mode cause I would know so it’s just confusing why the car is trying to shift on its own maybe a solenoid problem also I’ve had a problem where I rev match from 5th to 4th the engine does it’s job but it seems like the transmission takes 3 seconds to catch up then gives me a jerk. I know I’m not tripping cause last time it did that my brother looked at me like 😳. I had every fluid checked last time I was at the dealer for a diagnostic cause I did all my coils and spark plugs for 100k miles and they said everything was fine car doesn’t overheat or anything super confused right now
In manual mode, it won't let you bog the engine (i.e. it will downshift automatically if you don't manually downshift in time). However, if everything is working properly, it will not upshift automatically.

only codes for cats cause test pipes but it does try to shift up on its own I know everyone tells me this is impossible but it was in 4th I pressed the gas barely it went into 5th in manual mode I didn’t touch anything
