Question Help me identify this intake part [SOLVED]

I was trying to diagnose my CEL codes when I remembered that I had a PCV hose disconnected from the left intake tube. Upon further inspection, I realized that my intake hose was missing that black thing that the PCV hose clamps on to. Could someone tell me what that black thing is called and where I can find one? The dealership doesn't sell it separately, only as a complete assembly with the intake tube which I already have. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about:

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like you can buy that right angle piece of the pcv system you have to buy the whole intake hose kit. Infiniti calls it a "duct assembly"
Its pricey new for some cheap plastic but you can still find them for sale on ebay for a more reasonable price.

It's a noise damper (think muffler for intake noise) and also the PCV breather. You should be able to connect that hose direct to the corrugated hose with a brass or plastic connector from Lowes.

With that connection open, you've got an intake leak after the MAF, which will cause issues.

If you really want to remain stock, do the above for now and look for one in a junkyard. Anything Nissan with the 3.5 or 3.7 should have basically the same fitting.

Broke mine at one point, the cheapest way is to buy the correct side intake tube assembly from an eBay parts reseller.

Just look at the pictures before buying to ensure the tube has the resonator attached and that it is not broken

Also, be aware that some of the Q50/Q60 tubes will be mislabeled as G37, so theres that. Just look at the pictures and avoid sellers who dont post good pictures.

If its only purpose is reducing noise from the intake, I guess that means I don't need it since I like my $hit loud Thanks for letting me know! Btw, if I were to go back to stock and try to find the intake at a place like Pick N' Pull, do you think they would sell me the damper by itself or will they also try to shove the whole damn intake down my throat and take my money?

I mean, the guys at the front counter aren't paid to make critical business decisions. I've gotten trim pieces and engine intake pieces (think MAF adapter off an Sentra) for sub-$10 from our local LKQ. If you're taking the part off yourself, they usually don't try to upcharge.

Even if they do... I think LKQ wanted $25 for the whole side, air box to throttle body.
