need help identifying this sensor

So, helped my buddy replace his alternator as the alternator came off, it snapped this sensor. could someone or if anyone know which sensor this is, that’ll be greatly appreciated.

Could be wrong, but looks like a oil pressure gauge to me.

It is either the oil pressure switch or the oil temperature sensor. Similar situation happened to another forum member in this thread. In the pictures he posted you can see how close the switch and sensor are to the alternator. Either one are relatively inexpensive and easy to replace.

To identify which is which:

- If the wiring connector has ONE WIRE, that is for the oil pressure SWITCH,
- If the wiring connector has TWO WIRES, that is for the oil temperature SENSOR.

That's your OIL PRESSURE switch buddy, if you see the top 2 wire one that's the oil temperature one.

It's just a PITA to change on AWD vehicles.
