Spark Plug advice

Newbie here.

So, I recently got at 2012 G37x and have been going through it replacing fluids and cleaning stuff up. This is my first G though I have and a 2004 Nissan Altima 3.5 in the past (which i loved BTW). I got 320K miles out of that thing before I sold it.

Anywho.

I recently replaced plugs and cleaned the throttle bodies. As a result I have have a bit of a rough idle. I did decide to go on the cheap and put in the Autolite XP5683 which is an Iridium plug. After doing all that I noticed a bit of a rough idle which is really starting to annoy me. Of course I disconnected the battery while doing all this so I kinda figured the ECU had to "learn" junk all over again which I can live with but, it doesn't seem to be getting much better over time. I am questioning my decision to go with Autolite instead of the Denso plug. This evening I did successfully complete the "Idle Air, Volume Learn" procedure, so I am hoping that helps. I will find out when i travel to work tomorrow.

So I am asking what experience and/or advice anyone can offer.

Thank you in advance.

Did you do all 3 procedures?
I used these since there wasn't any need to mess around with the gap. https://www.autozone.com/external-en...693/490727_0_0 Works fine for me.

Thank you Mummy2. I did get the procedures done. Thank you for the advice. I did put the Denso Plugs in at the cost of $19.99/ea. it was kinda weird because it didn't seem to fix it right away, but later when I got in the car it was resolved. I just thanked the Lord it seems to be working now.

Looking for recommendations for spark plugs for my 2013 G37 coupe.
What if any, are advantages for higher costing spark plugs?.

So what happens is the autolite dont work as efficient as oem denso. They make the engine run richer or have ignition issues. These issues are picked up my A/F sensors and throws a code or stores this run. Happens to folks who start cars with under performing sensors.

Denso's were the right choice. You could have maybe saved a couple of dollars but not so much for OEM denso. Many many counterfits out there that are just re stamping other cheaper Denso and making them pass as the OEM ones.

I would change out the plug with what the book says.

cannot remember if it’s Denso or NGK. I prefer the NGK to the Denso.

never, ever, ever cheap out on spark plugs.

Also never buy from an online seller on Amazon or EBay. To many fake plugs being sold for same prices you can get from a reputable auto parts store. Yes fake spark plugs especially NGK and Denso are a huge market.

Advance,Autozone , and Napa always have the parts however you may need to wait a day if they need to get them as has been the case for two of my cars spark plug changes this summer.

Denso plugs... also clean out the MAF sensors, add new air filters or clean out the ones you have...Then do the ecu reset procedures...
