2010 G37 Keeps Turning ON - Long Story
Hi everyone,
I have a 2010 G37 that's been having issues for a while but over the past week it has intensified. A few years ago, a mechanci disconnected the remote start function. I guess what he did was allow the key to still try to turn the vehicle but it won't actually turn on. So sometimes, by bad habit, I press the lock button twice and the car tries to turn on. However, I guess he severed the connection at the engine level so it will just turn but not turn on. But now the problem is.... the car keeps trying to turn on !!
I disconnected the battery for 2 weeks and everytime I plug it in it STILL tries to turn on. I need the cars computer to forget to turn on.... Any ideas or solutions??

You need to remove whatever module was installed that's trying to turn the car on. Sounds like your mechanic doesn't know what he is doing..... First thing I would do is get under the dash and start looking for any aftermarket wiring. Check by the key slot area on the bottom left of your dash - I have a remote start module and I had to plug in wires over there.
