These might work nicely in my bay, since I've got lots of brushed aluminum accents.

Amazon Amazon

Figure the 49mm ID at the clips will work in a 49.7mm hole, maybe with a little customization for fitment. And the 50mm top/center is ripe for a 50mm decal, if that's something I'd want to follow up with.

Thoughts, anyone?

Should work, worst case you wrap a little electrical tape along the clips....

I'm starting a print now for some black plastic caps I just made.

I was thinking the exact same thing, a little bit of electrical take here and there.

I just placed the order for those. Worth the $20 to experiment.

Well, here is a 49.5 / 52mm cap. Ignore the rusty bolts and leaves my car lives outside.

Now if you could only 3D print a set of titanium strut bolts.
I said the same, he dont play around.

Icrap, I'm confident you could knock out a perfect set of plugs for the Light wiring and Power wire grommets

Yeah I just made that a few hours ago on my 3D printer. Which light/power grommets are you referring to? Can do those too.

Nice job!! I think Bull is referring to the grommets where the wiring passes through from the battery and also on the adjacent side where the master cylinder is. We re-routed the wiring to a less conspicuous location. If you could make a plug for those areas that would be awesome. I haven't yet come up with an elegant solution and that would be ideal.

JB epoxy products have stood the test of time and the shock of my blown struts have not cracked the paint after a year.

Is there a wire tuck write-up here on the forum? I don't recall ever seeing one.

And on topic... my Amazon center caps arrive tomorrow. Pretty curious about them.

I’m not sure if there was a thread dedicated specifically to wire tuck, but it’s come up in conversation before. Bull gave a quick summation of his routing which is pretty similar to what I did as well in the Engine Bay Thread https://www.myg37.com/forums/body-in...thread-34.html I think somewhere around post 500. I have a plethora of pictures when my engine bay was torn apart and I was working out where I wanted to run things, if I get ambitious I may try and piece together a wire tuck DIY. I think one of your posts in that thread gave me some inspiration with respect to deleting the unnecessarily large relay box with 1 small relay in it.

I believe I have SOME pictures. Doing all my work in a 1 car garage has it's downsides and it's PICTURES, they never come out right.

Also when I recycle wiring I always pull the loom. Things get cut/shortened/extended and there are some folks that are not comfortable with this.

The positive is that you might not have to cut the light wiring but maybe the ground straps for it to fit better.

The same goes for the power wires however for these you have to also work with the OEM length if you don't want to cut.

Power is power so you could always buy 15 ft of gauge 2-4 wire and make it however you'd like.

I use these for my black wheel centercaps. Just have to get the 50mm black stickers to make them work.

Be advised, they are not quite the correct size, so you need to be careful installing them. Make sure they are lined up correctly and give them a solid tap with a rubber mallet to seat them. It sounds like the ID of the strut holes is similar. If so, they will be tight once they are seated - removal (if ever required) may be tricky.

I was thinking about that, too. And I suppose I'll find out soon enough. But there are four of them, so if removal means breaking them, so be it.

If they work, and if I like the look, I may just leave them as is. However, inserts are readily available in 50mm diameter, so that's always an option.

Basic black is good, or white. Then there's always full-on bling, like these here:

However, the only red in my engine bay is the "S" in the G37S badges.

I could also spend less than $10 for a sheet of CF wrap in amber/orange, to match my engine cover:

All kinds of arts & crafts options, LOL.
