Another coolant leak: Annoying heater hose on drivers side

Well noticed smoke coming from under the hood, to find heater hose from drivers side under the throttle body leaking. It was leaking from the middle of the hose a very narrow stream upwards. This was a pain to remove since there isnt much room there. I removed the intake, and few pieces that were in the way. Took me about 3.5 hours just to remove the heater hose. It is very hard to get pliers or a vice grip to grab the clamp. The clamp closest to the firewall was most difficult since the clamp was facing the bottom. I ordered the part from nissan and it should be here by saturday. Part # is 14055-jk20a. Will update once part arrives.

Did you have to remove the heater hose that sits right on top of it (the one that goes into the heater core)?

Also how many miles you have on that broken hose?

I have pretty much the same mileage as you. Anyways what I meant to say was, in order to remove that small broken hose, will removing the heater hose on top of it give me more room to work with?

Yup. That little sucka was a PITA... but the way to remove it easy is to move the clamp away from middle for both..

I move both side clamp to middle of hose & boy.. i had a rough time..

Didnt think to move away until i took it out. So move clamp away from hose

Yup I did that way for the clamp closest to the firewall. Also using some penetrating oil on the hose and Clamp helps. Will be installing tom.

Question Did you get the hose installed?

Just wondering if you successfully reinstalled the hose and how you did it. My 2012 G37 convertible has the same issue.

Yes, all good. Was a pita though. Hose clamp pliers makes the job easier.
