Headlight Bulb replacement gone bad
Viewed YouTube to do this simple job going through the fender well to get to drivers side headlight bulb. That all went fine except when I was taking the spring off to release bulb, the plastic part that the spring wire hooks into broke off on both sides where spring locks in. Can anyone help me out on this, is there a replacement part for this or is my only option to buy another headlight assembly? What a bummer.

To be honest, take the bumper off and take the headlights out, will save you a bunch of time. I don't know how your able to work behind the fender liner. mine is always a bi*** to work with. Post pictures if possible.

Jacked the car up, pulled wheel off, 3 clips and removed fender liner, everything very easy to get to. Took about 5-10 minutes. There are 2 bolts that you have to raise hood, remove some plastic and try and remove without being able to see them in order to pull bumper off. Going through fender well is much easier and quicker than pulling bumper.

This is a very common issue. Unfortunately the only ways to fix this is to get a whole new assembly, build your own spring holders after taking the whole housing out, or do what several others have mentioned and build a sort of mound on the headlight cover to hold the socket in place.
