Overheating @ idle

Hey guys, so the issue I'm having is my temp gauge would go 3/4 after sitting for a while. Ive hooked up a obd2 reader and when driving the coolant temp would read 210-220. But when at idle it would go up to 230 but nothing higher. These are the things ive checked already:
1. Cooling fans do come on
2. Coolant in the Radiator and recovery tank. No leaks.
3. A/C does blow cold air and heater does come out hot.
4. Let air out the system with yellow funnel. Squeezed both hoses and also turned heat on max.

so im thinking the thermostat even though i had it replaced 3 years ago when I did the water pump.
So before I go ahead and replace the thermostat, is there anything I should look for that I might be missing?

Lower Hose

Upper hose

One thing I did notice is when I had the car running for 15 min the upper radiator hose read a much higher temperature than the lower. The upper was 50 degrees hotter than the lower. Is that normal? Thanks

Are you talking about the coolant temperature sensor?
