G37x no power when aggressively accelerating
I have a 2011 G37x
I’m not too sure why, but this started suddenly today. Every time I try to floor it, once it gets towards the end of the gear it will throw a traction control and brake light and then completely lose all power for a second and then return to normal with no lights on. If I had to guess the brake light has nothing to do with it. Not sure, but no check engine light. I’m thinking it might be the fuel filter but I know I would have to replace the whole pump if it was that. The thing is, I have no problem starting it up, no delay, no slow crank, starts like normal. If I drive like a normal person it doesn't happen. I did it about 5 or 6 times this morning. And I haven’t floored it since, it’s kind of scary and I don’t feel like being stuck in the middle of the road for being ignorant. I was going to grab a fuel pressure tester but it’s running fine as long as I don’t floor it. Any suggestions as to why it suddenly started doing this?

Is it not your traction control activating?
i don’t mean to sound stupid but did you try to disable it and see if it still does it? Maybe if its never done that before, you just need new tires to stop you from losing traction.

Traction control and tires have nothing to do with the engine losing all power for half a second at the end of a gear ratio.

Check intakes maybe? I have some CAI, and if I go to a car wash and accelerate aggressively, the car will cut power due to the water flowing up the intake tubes.
Probably a little far fetched but worth a check?
