G37 Coupe Sport Seats in G37 Sedan

Hello all! I recently embarked on finding a set of G37 Sport coupe seats to install in my 6MT Sport sedan. I have a friend with a Coupe sport and the seats are sooo much more comfortable than the sedan. I found an awesome deal from an older man parting out his wife's wrecked coupe and got the set for $300. Just wanted to let everyone here know that they 100% fit and work in the sedan. The drivers seat bolts and plugs right into the wiring harness in the floor. The passenger seat however has to have the internal wiring harness replaced with the harness out of a regular sedan passenger seat. It WILL NOT plug directly into the car the way it is wired. It's about an hours work and not that labor intensive. I highly HIGHLY recommend this mod if you happen to come across Coupe Sport seats. They sit alot lower, have better bolsters, and are made of better materials than the Sedans seats. I recently sat in a sedan and it felt like I was sitting in a truck. Anyways, if you have any questions let me know!

Wow that is good to know! Did they feel heavier than the sedan seats?

So the coupe rails actually match up? Wouldn't that mean we could use racing seats/rails that fit coupes?

Honestly, yes they feel slightly heavier to carry than the sedan seats. Nothing crazy though, maybe 5 pounds

Yep, the rails line up exactly. So yes, in theory you could

Really good info on swapping Coupe seats to the Sedan. Well done, OP.

At first glance, that neck rest looks interesting. But then you see the duplicated Infiniti branding, and worry about how they compromise the active headrest restraint feature... I wouldn't.

Just strange because everything I've heard says other wise.

Did your car already have the Sport seats with the extended thigh bolsters/rests? Mine is a Journey and the seats in it are awful, nothing to extend for the backs of your thighs. Was curious about this mod several years ago, but heard the wiring harness are completely different?

I would love to sell my sport seats and get money towards some racing seats but there isn't a huge market.

That is why I got the coupe sport seats, I wanted something better bolstered, but still stock looking and comfortable.

Are the side airbags the same between the coupe and sedan? I'd be worried if it couldn't inflate the same way as the sedan.

It should be the same, also the seating position would be the same regardless so it should be fine. I got a lead on a coupe seat so I may be doing this swap this weekend
