I did notice that the S had quicker steering and the LSD, which is a fine one indeed. Seems like I read somewhere that it is a Torsen. I haven't had to see what it could do in a mud (off road work is definitely out of the question with my substantial ride height issues) or ice environment, but I sure can kick the tail out when I want too on the road, wet or dry! really a sweet handling car for sure.

BTW, when I bought this car it was shod with a set of Falken Azenis PT 722 A/S "M+S" tires. Pretty sticky in the dry, gradual breakaway, and a bit noisy. BUT, and this is a very big but, any amount of moisture on the road changes these things into slicks. The old Goodyear Polyglass bias ply tires of the long past had better wet adhesion than these damn things. If this car didn't have the four corner traction/stability control turned on in the wet (forgot what Infinity calls it), which I normally automatically turn off, I would have been in the woods long ago. These things are just incredibly unsafe in my opinion, and the have the gall to call them a M+S tire. I mean really, really dangerous in the wet, and they have about 85% or so tread depth. On good pavement in the dry, a 50 MPH marked corner is no problem at 90 MPH, but when the same pavement is wet 55MPH is pushing it and stability control kicks in, Unreal.

That brochure is more proof that my car is a clone, baby Jumpman. My car has powder coated duckfeet. They are staggered though.

That's not even the Midnight Grille, unless someone only painted the surround, which seems unlikely. Partially debadged trunk, too. And side-mounted front plate (ugh). Big azz roof wing (ugh).

Yeah, time to stop getting hung up on the misrepresentation of being "1 of 400", and just appreciate what it is: a modified black-on-black 6MT Sedan.

BUT, and this is a big but: No better than slicks when it's wet and simply dangerous. Thank god I had the stability control engaged the first time i was in the rain or I would have been off in the weeds for sure. The old Goodyear Polyglas bias ply of the Pleistocene era worked better than these damn things in the wet. 50 MPH market curve on good dry pavement good at 90 with no issues, but try it at 55 MPH in the wet and the stability control starts working very hard. I kid you not. 85% or more tread and they are deadly unsafe in the wet. And they have the gall to call them a M+S tire!

Front plate is gone, and I like the little roof wing. The decklid spoiler seems to cover up the ugly chrome piece and in my opinion just looks soooo much better. Each to their own..........

Lego_Maniac, yes, the surround is painted black. And the plate is not actually gone, but lives in the trunk now. Texas has a front plate requirement, but I have not been running them on my go fast cars for more than 40 years, and only received a warning one time. (knock on wood!) The pics were pre-purchase.

Could my car be a 55th? It was sold to me as a 2013. Door jam tag has production date of 12/12. It is black on black with aluminum trim, a 6spd, and what looks like pearl metallic gunmetal duckfeet wheels lol they are a stock finish for sure, just never seen them on another G before in this finish.

from what I learned yesterday on this forum I would say no. For one, it's a 2013, and two, the G37 55ths were only autos.

As much as I love my G, these are not Collector's Cars. Most people don't give them the 2nd look they deserve and as far as they know it's just another Japanese sedan or coupe. Most Infiniti owners aren't even aware of the various "Limited" models. The value would mainly come upon resale to someone in the G community that wants a specific car (IPL coupe, Anniversary or Limited sedan). Just enjoy it. Mod it, drive it, maintain it and enjoy it.

You want a collectible Nissan/Datsun, look for a 70s 240 or 280z (not Zx), a Bluebird, a 510 or something like that. I don't actually think the current GTRs would be considered collectible
