Saw this old pic in one of my threads that got bumped the other day, and thought it was a grille-worthy shot to post here.

Impul grill, from Japan:

To be honest, I like it, but it's not worth more than just blacking out your own grill or getting a mesh one. I guess I get JDM points though lol.

Good ideas in here

Planning to fabricate a custom grille later this year, to convert an OEM grille into the "open mesh" style. Will stay tuned to this thread for inspiration, hopefully others join the conversation.

Anyone know how you get the grille like that where it doesn't have an emblem?

Fortunately I found someone willing to take on the custom grill project, because I know if I got my hands on a dremel I would have butchered it.

Will post in here when the project it done, hoping to install by May.

^looks great! Better fitment on yours than mine (similar style, maybe different manufacturer).

Allow me to suggest the thicker ABS plastic mesh that can be found on ebay, it matches the lower grill better and helps obscure the engine bay a bit more (if that at all matters to you):

Thanks bro! I did actually add a more oem style mesh to it and also some charcoal window screening behind it. I'm not a fan of the intakes behind the grille look so wanted then unseen lol I was very surprised with the fitment on the grille. Besides drilling the holes for bolts on the back....it slide right in and gaps top/bottom were barely there.
