I usually lead a cruise out west at least once a year. Out west as in the Galena and beyond area. We stick to mainly technical county roads and some state highways.
I'd be down for a meet up in the middle somewhere if we can rally some folks once the weather warms up. I have one more weekend on my snows and then I'm back to summer tires. FWIW, I'm sitting pretty stock compared to you so my car doesn't have much wow factor.
Hey, you have to start somewhere. My car is coming along nicely and should see some big upgrades this year. If you are ever thinking of certain mods, let me know. I can probably point you in the right direction and tell you which parts/tuners to stay away from.

If you guys ever get a group together in WI somewhere, let me know. I am about a 2.5-3 hour drive from the WI/IL border.

My summer wheels & tires are cleaned, waxed, balanced and ready to roll. They still look new, and I've got two new tires in the mix. I'm really looking forward to a stickier pavement & tire combo. At least, that's what I tell myself because it sounds cool. Or childish... IDK. Either way, I'd like to be done with winter, please.

Ditto. The other day I was thinking, "wow I could play basketball in the driveway soon." Today we are getting 4-7 inches of snow and I am sure it is coming your way.

I've already had to mow my grass twice, at this point, I think I'm already stuck mowing weekly.

Sh*t! That reminds me that I have to buy a new lawnmower soon. Actually looking into electric mowers. Wow, this got off topic quick. Well, I'll allow it since I started the damn thread.

I have a small lawn, too. Takes maybe 45 minutes to mow the whole thing. So I've always kept an optimistic eye towards electric mowers.
Borrowed one from a friend a few years back, and hated it. The thing about electric mowers is the path is typically much narrower. And if you ever get rough with your mower over awkward areas on the edge of the lawn (not that I have any ), the electric mower is weak, whereas a gas mower can plow right over ****.

I've got a tree trimmer coming sometime this spring, for $1500 of tree removal.

I think they have come quite a ways as far as width and power, but they still cost quite a bit. I have a big yard now and even now there are not many that have enough power.
I had my last cheap mower for well over a decade and it was probably running better than all the super expensive mowers in the neighborhood because I know how to maintain it. (Probably also the only mower in the neighborhood running on synthetic oil. The gearhead in me shines brightly.) But I had a friend who needed one so I donated it.
We need an official yard/yard tool thread to go along with the official puppy thread.
Yup. Do you think we can keep it in the sedan section if we title it something like, "Sedan owners' puppy and tool thread?" Wow, that seems like a really specific subgroup. Haha!
