looks like i'll be getting rid of the G in about 3-4 Months and picking up a 2019 RDX.
A-Spec Package, SH-AWD in white. Going to need a bigger vehicle so I guess it's about that time..

Non sequitur: Always found the hype behind hatchbacks/wagons kinda annoying, like folks trying too hard to like something out of fashion (i.e. car hipsters)

I'll admit there are times I'd like to have a station wagon... If I had to take the neighbors' kids to school or shop for the wife, get some lawn supplies at the Home Depot... maybe. :-) But, not when I'm driving Big Sur. There, I'd rather drive what the author calls unimaginative, boring three-box designs. :-) A nice four door sedan like a G37, Q50 or even a four door Maserati. My humble opinion, of course.

By an intern who just started shaving.
However, the point isn't lost on anyone who's paying attention to the market. Sedans are going buh-bye.
Personally, I wouldn't kick a Porsche Macan Turbo out of bed for eating crackers.

The sedan market is shrinking, but i think it will level off with some of the less than good models phasing out and a handful of best in class types remaining. It would be nice to see more hatchbacks and wagons. The E63 wagon is pretty awesome lol.
I still prefer the ride, handling, and efficiency of a car over a comparable SUV/crossover.

I like that little Macan too, but suvs still give up a lot to cars in terms of handling. There was a Macan Turbo at the last track day I did at Road America and the thing could not get out of my way fast enough. I think I lapped him at least once/session.
I agree. Sedans are much easier to make with good styling compared to an suv or a hatch or wagon. When was the last time you saw an suv or wagon and said, "Wow that looks awesome! I NEED one of those!!" I cannot remember myself, but I do remember thinking that about the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and the new M3.

I had one kid when I got my G37S 6 years ago, now I have 2. My wife has had an SUV since we had kids, so my car has been fine for secondary duty. We've since downsized from her SUV to Accord. If you don't need or have grown out of the double stroller phase, I think a sedan is more than adequate for family hauling.
If I need more hauling capacity, like for a swing set, outdoor furniture, etc, I rent a truck from Home Depot for $20

^^ YUPPPP. People forget they can rent a truck for the day for ~$50 for hauling nasty stuff or furniture or mulch. Not everyone needs a pickup truck and MOST do not NEED an SUV. Just ask the rest of the world.
