Oh man, this crazy expension Volvo is gorgeous. Reminds me of the BMW 850i from the 1990s.

I have a buddy who swears by Volvo. It seems like every time I see him, he's driving a new Volvo CUV of some sort. The dealer loves him, which means he'll be invited to whatever shindig the dealer has when they launch this car, which means he'll invite me.

Same thoughts about the car. I just have no idea when anyone will be able to test drive the new Z without buying it first. Somewhat fortunately, I need 4 doors at the moment, but maybe I would pick up a Nismo version of the Z in a few years.
The 6MT Supra is coming, probably mainly due to the new Z coming with a 6MT. I hope the Supra and Z both make each other better cars over the years through some friendly competition. However, the 400hp base Z is less expensive than the 4cyl. Supra right now. I know where my money would go.
Exactly! As I was typing my last post about the new Z I thought the exact same thing and really missed my old G37S sedan for a solid 5 minutes.

It is one of those things that once you see it in person, and can physically interpret the lines, styling, etc. do you (potentially) fall for the damn thing.
I am 50/50 on it being a addition to my driveway- 6MT definitely makes it a plus. If Toyota ever decides to bring a Targa version... sold.

I was in that exact same boat. I had zero interest in the Supra especially with it being a rebadged BMW (essentially). Until I saw one at the grocery store parking lot.

Im not the best at taking pics but this was when it first came out and i went to go see it for the first time.
I love how the tail lights stick out, gives a cheaper regera type vibe to me and i just think it looks awesome
The front end starting growing on me too. Its just a great looking car.

I've only ever seen one on the road, and it was certainly a head-turner. A complete WTF is that?! kind of moment. Your head spins for a minute trying to classify what you just saw, because it's so unique. Kind of like spotting a McLaren, when you strain for a longer look asking yourself, "Was that a McLaren?" Not that the two are even remotely in the same wheelhouse, but the car spotting experience is kind of the same. The new Supra is rare (around here).
However, color me in the minority, but I think the Supra is a design mess. There isn't a single angle on that car that doesn't look clownish to me.
No wait... I like the trunk badge, and those are nice wheels. Otherwise, I truly dislike this car. Which is a shame, because I adore the design of the 3rd Gen... 36 years later.

I've seen two and only one is "local" to the area. White w/ black interior with the two-tone wheels (damn 5x112PCD)... And that is partly why I think I like the car... they are not a "dime a dozen" down here where practically every other vehicle is either a oversized SUV or a cookie cutter sedan. Even the G37 is rare and the Q is practically non-existent.

I don't actually have an opinion. To me it's kind of like the S2000... a sleek, impressive driver's car (or so I'm told). But I genuinely don't care to own a Vert, so there's a blind spot in my eyes for these cars. For example, the G37 Convertible... I only like that car because of the hard-top design, and even then only with the top up.
I can count on one hand the number of current model Q60 coupes I've seen in the wild. Seriously.

Same reason I have disliked the Camry (Toyota, Toyota....) for the past 5-10 years? Or however long it's been since they redesigned it with all those silly lines, vents, and crap that makes it look way too sporty for what it is. I can understand a few enhancements, especially for a TRD version, but it's just too much. Similar feelings with the Civic Type R in recent years.... oh well.

Opinions should be flexible with age and exposure. Otherwise you turn into this guy, still trying to convince himself that a vinyl roof is cool.

That could definitely happen, a car design that grows on me. I strongly disliked the Giulia when it first came out, and now I appreciate the looks whenever I see one.
