I was watching a video on Acura TSX vs Genesis G70 and I was thinking to myself that I still think the Mercedes GLA45 is the perfect car. It has a great interior, it weighs less then both of those two. It has more power than both of those two. It has a 8spd dual clutch. It is a Hatchback so It can handle bigger things. It has a 4 cyl, so if you don't lean on it, it should get better milage than those two. It probably has a higher step up, so that it is easier on us old guys.
I also the Rav4 Prime and Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. Between the Kia Stinger and Audi S5 Sport Back, I would probably get the Audi. I doubt either would be that reliable.
Back in 2016 my 528i wouldn't pass smog and I had until Feb 2017 til I had to re-register. I was thinking of the cars that were on my list. Knowing what I know now I would have bought:
1st Toyota Prius I hate to pay for gas and would love to have a hatchback. would have been less than 10
2nd 2005 Meredes E320 Diesel great gas milage, luxury equip, could keep using FCP Euro, found for 2500
3rd 2007 Altima Hybrid Great Gas Mileage, found a Clean one for 5900
4th 2005 BMW 330i Vert, could have had around 5k, cute and stylish
5th 2008 Lexus IS350. Found what could have been the right one too late. Around 10k with rare equip like Mark Levinson sound, Memory Seats and Sunshade
6th 2006 BMW 330i Around 8k great chassis, good power

TSX was a mid-sized sedan that was discontinued 7 years ago.
G70 is a mid-sized sedan that stickers at $37k.
GLA45 is a mid-sized crossover that stickers at $54k.
That said, yes, the GLA45 would be a rewarding car to own. I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers.

Between this and the Sonata N-Line... that seems an easy choice.

Hahah, you're not far off. I'd much rather just get me an old GSR / LS shell and swap in a K20/K24 with an ITR transmission and call it a day. Cheaper and much funner.
I really miss VTEC and that classic B/K sound.. gosh. It hurt a lot when I had to sell my FBO RSX-S with 5.062 final drive.

Car regrets... everyone has them.
Mine was ditching a perfectly awesome 1991 240SX Coupe 5MT that I bought new 30 years ago, trading it in just 7 years later for almost nothing at all, just because I absolutely had to have that Maxima.
Stupid, stupid decision.

Ouch!!
Well... I sold the RSX to get the G, so I'm happy with the decision overall. Just wish I could have kept it because I had to let it go much cheaper than I wanted and I had a lot of money invested in it. But couldn't own two cars. Now I'm in a position where I could do that if I wanted to. Nahhh I'll just get those Z1 headers, 4.08's, two-piece rotors, diff brace, FI 2.5" CBE, etc. LOL

Oh man, I love the looks of the 2nd Gen MR2. Never drove or rode in one, though. Always wanted to. I read where they're crazy tail-happy.
Did you see C&D's 10 Best for the year? It came out today. I found myself liking the way they wrote about the little Subaru twins. Also having never driven or rode in a BRZ, I expect there are a lot of similarities between that car and my old 240SX.

Where's 4DRZ?
Where's the OP? He's had a month of seat time in that Subaru... plenty of opportunity to write about it.
Come on, @4DRZ !

Fast forward......When I picked up the R, I planned on paying it off and getting a 3rd car. I have 12 payments left, and with used car prices being crazy and moving to permanent work from home, I just can't justify dropping the money on another car. Guess instead I'll be responsible and reallocate that car payment to retirement and college funds for the girls
