Speaking of the upcoming next generation STI earlier, I just found an article with some interesting details. Motor1 claims that the new WRX will debut in April and the STI will debut in June. They also confirm the 400 hp and 361 lb/ft. of torque in a 2.4 L engine that I have read elsewhere. This is all good news. I have seen other articles from the same source indicating that Subaru is working jointly with Toyota on the platform and possibly even the AWD system. I wonder if it will share the BRZ platform since that car shares a lot with Toyota.

Damn! (I almost swore) You're right. They say April 2021 for the WRX and June 2022 for the STI, which makes no sense why it would take that long between the two. I think they meant 2021 and it is a 2022 model. I see similar release dates elsewhere. It seems like it has already been an eternity since their prototype 3 years ago. I guess all bets are off with covid delays, but I would assume we will see both next year.

We have some members here like that. Low post count but when they reply, they know their stuff. I'm familiar with the G but I don't know every single thing about the platform so when those members drop some knowledge I'm all for it.
This thread for example:

I've always been an advocate for the grounding kit for the 7AT cars. @takemorepills pretty much squashed the debate...

Stop killing my dreams Lego! That's strike 2 for you if the moderators are paying attention. 3 strikes equals a ban so hopefully, you don't drive a VW, which would easily be your 3rd strike. lol
Fortunately, I never had to deal with that as I was one of the first people to join Nasioc back when it was one of the first online car forums for tuning/mods. As a result, my member number is ridiculously low.
Nasioc read like one long letter back then. Different times. It was really just due to timing. I happened to get my 1st Subaru in Jan of 1999 and I believe I joined the forum a few days after it started. I don't hop on that forum very often because there is so much garbage to filter through with 500,000+ members. It is rather amusing when I comment though because people freak out when they see my member number.

Think I joined the rx7.world.std.com email list in 92? ish. Then the Yahoo TeamFC3S list, which turned into rotarycarclub I think. I've been online in most of those LONG before IB bought them/supplanted them.
The RX fora, especially for 2nd gen and RX8s are populated by idiots that had the $600 to buy a car but not the $2500 to rebuild the engine that they proceed to nuke.
The first gens (SA22C/FB3S) have gotten so hard to find that it's only serious restorers or performance nutjobs (of which I used to be one) have them any more. Shame I can't find a cheap one - would be an interesting electrification project and/or home for the 400HP turbo rotary I have in a crate.

This has been such a fun thread to lurk and read through these past few years. Yesterday I purchased a 2013 370z Nismo #440 in Gunmetal with only 13K miles. Pretty much my dream spec for the 370z's; as I love the exterior looks of the V1 bodykits (just evokes that classic JDM vibe) and the '13s came with red calipers and gunmetal (as opposed to silver) wheels. I had been lazily searching for a clean (unmodified) example for the last year, but when this one turned up I had to make a move.
Not a replacement for my G, but excited to add to the stable and have a 6MT again.
