Got to sit in a 2019 ZL1 with sunroof today. This was in a showroom so no test drive. Clutch and shifter felt nice and solid. Rear window is a decoration at best. I'm 6' tall but in a comfortable seating position my head was almost in the roof. Visibility seemed poor. Steering wheel felt too far away. I don't remember it being so bad in other cars I drove a few years ago. Maybe something about the interior of the zl1 is different. Price tag, ~$65K msrp.

All the new body Camaro's have terrible visibility. I consider that a huge downside personally.

I agree on the Camaro visibility. The windows are tiny. We had an SS here not long ago that I sat in. I also noticed the interior feels very small compared to how big the car is outside. Not great for inspiring confidence when you are driving.
I found another issue with the car too. I like to drive with my left arm resting on the window sill. Can't do that here. Sill is way too high. Who designs these things?!@#

That and the Mustangs are surprisingly nimble.
You can pick up a 5th Gen ZL1 for sub $30k now vs the 6th gen ZL1. The Alpha platform makes for a great chassis but I recall having issues with visibility in the 5th gen (different chassis) when I drove it. I was getting used to it by the 3rd test drive but from what I've read, they've actually managed to make the visibility worse in the new 6th gen. Didn't even think that was possible...Also, the back seat is even smaller than the previous generation if that's of any use to you.

Additionally as noted above the sill is extremely high (like the 2 door Cadillac's of the late 2000's) and rearward visibility is non-existent. Overall unless someone gave me the car or sold me a brand new one for $10,000 I wouldn't ever pay for one. Too many compromises. It's why the Challenger and Mustang are winning.

Although I've never driven the Challenger, I've been in them numerous times and find the interiors really, really blah. Plus, the car is freaking huge, with lousy fit & finish. The overall design still turns my head, though (from a distance). Can't seem to help myself when I see one.
As for the Stang, it's interior feels crude and square and old, and the car drives like a big old slab of lead... but one that's stupid fast and can handle really well.
Between the three pony cars, I'd take the Mustang as the car with the least compromises. But if I were being honest to myself, I will never seriously pursue any of them. Well...

I have always been a fan of hot hatches. I had a Suzuki Swift GT. Before I bought my G, I thought about a GTI. Supposedly the 2013 and above mostly cured their Oil burn issues. It is funny that the S3 doesn't have luxury features like Power Seats, but the Golf R does. The golf r is the closest thing we have to the S3 Hatch. Another funny thing, is if you get the Golf R, you would probably look like you had less $$ in your pocket, yet they cost 10k more than a A6 3.0 and Bmw 328i.
