Fast Intentions Resonated Test Pipes

I was thinking if getting the resonated test pipes for my g37x. I wanted to know how really loud is my exhaust going to be after the test pipes?

Not too much louder, and the resonated versions sound good. Just be aware that you will get a strong raw fuel smell when idling or stuck in traffic, the cars behind you won't appreciate it.

oh ok. so meaning the resonated test pipes making it sound good, does it make it just sound more deeper and throatier?

Yes, it will. Not nearly the kind of sound increase you'd see with most aftermarket catbacks, but definitely something noticeable. I ran FI RHFC with the OEM pipes for a year, and it was a nice little change. So if there's any difference between the test pipes and the high-flow cats, it would be even more volume. But honestly, my thinking was more about adding a power mod than a noise-maker, and in that respect you won't be disappointed either.

Then I matched it with a FI catback, and all hell broke loose. Sometimes I wish it weren't so obnoxious, but 99% of the time I'm loving it.

oh ok. im currently running the FI 12" Resonated Catback system. I am looking for both performance and sound at the same time and alot of ppl has been telling me test pipes. So my guess was why not pair it with FI test pipes. But thanks for the info. You made it more clear for me to basically go with the resonated test pipes with FI. Hope I wont be dissapointed. My only thing is the wait time with FI. But its good quality.

If you don't want to wait, Next Level Performance has a set of FI non resonated high flow cats in stock for $510. The performance gain from going to a HFC to a test pipe is negligible.

You got to lay things out when asking these kinds of questions. New to the forum, and no sig line, and I went where I went.

I think with those 12" Sebring Tuning resonators and cans, I'd recommend resonated TP's. Keep in mind, FI's design doesn't support a cross member between their pipes against the transmission.
