It should be ok as long as you don't go too fast through the corners. Without a front bar the car might be very tailhappy.

I mean, by "need", i'm using the absolute meaning of the word, you don't need a sway bar to drive your car. Obviously I don't believe that you should drive normally or frequently at all without one, but what I mean is that yes you can limp your car to the shop or to a garage without one.
