Trade in for RS Q50?

Trade in for RS Q50?
I've had a problem withe the rear timing cover gasket failing on my 2010 G37. The car is currently at the shop getting fixed.
I just received an invite from Inifiniti to a 3 day private day sale claiming up to $10,500 off 2016 Q50s.
I've been considering trading in the G37 and my 2000 M5 for a new Q50 Red Sport. The MSRP on a RedSport is $54K - $10K discount - $20K for trade-ins puts me at around $26K + fees and tax...tempting
Thoughts? Not realistic? This is Canadian pricing, BTW.
The underrated HP numbers make it very tempting.

Too late with the repair, the car is probably fixed by now. I haven't talked to the shop yesterday, but they were waiting on the crank sprocket and timing chain, before putting it back together.
I've RSVP'd to the invite, and will follow up with the dealer in the afternoon, if I don't hear back.
The invite stated the discount applies to Q50 Sport, but the fine print says it also applies to RedSport.

as i understand it the '17 Q50 will get a mid-cycle-refresh so Infiniti Canada is likely trying to blow out remaining '16 stock to avoid having MY '16 & '17 side by side. still, $9k off for a RS400 is pretty good.

I receive these invites every year from the dealer where I get my car serviced, strangely not from the dealer where I purchased my Infiniti.
Anyway, I made an appointment for 6pm, and confirmed they have a few RedSport models available.

not sure where the OP lives, but in Vancouver i saw the same promotion. $9000 off but then an additional 'Loyalty Bonus' of $2k on top for current Infiniti owners. total of $11k off. these are for cash purchases only on existing stock of Q50 Hybrids. other trims get lower cash discounts. for example, the '16 Q50 RS400 gets $9k ($7k promo + $2k loyalty bonus) total off, not the whole $11k. and the sale is advertised so it's not exactly private, although some owners have received a personalized invite in the mail.

Base red sport is about $48k, and there have been quite a few member on the FB group who have gotten lease deals that show the car at $5-7k cheaper. The 17's have improved interior and red brake calipers and are rolling in and it was only for the few 16's remaining on the lot.

I just came back form the dealer. I test drivove the read sport model, the power it puts down is amazing, the torque comes on very low...it's pretty crazy, it handles very nicely in sport+,but there is one thing that does not do this car justice. It's the tranny, the paddle shifters are useless, and although the tranny shifts nice on its own it's still and auto transmission. This type of power needs the ability to control, and the auto doesn't cut it.
I simply didn't love it.
I did some negotiation, but didn't commit to anything. The deal is on the table at $28k on the road. Call me crazy but I prefer driving the M5.
