And from diving the Red Sport for 2 days if they touch anything on the trans it may have been just the trq tables? The shifts where very close to the way my sedan shifts now tuned,

Here's the biggest problem I see having quite a bit of Bimmer experience. E30, E32, E34, even E28s but ESPECIALLY E39s have a drive about them that even the newer models can't match. They do drive like an extension of you. I've had every model listed and even drove a couple of "F" chassis. They don't have it. They are Uber-nice but do not captivate you on the drive. A well sorted E39 528 (dual vanos) or 540 manual will do it, but especially the M5. You may need to keep the ///M and trade the other for the RS. Drive the M5 when you REALLY want that grin and use the RS for a dope daily!

I think there is a reason e39 M5 is acclaimed to be the ultimate balance of luxury and driving experience. The bar has been raised too high, and nothing else compares to it.
I'm keeping the G37, I've got it fixed, and put in vLSD. It's the winter beater, daily...it'll have to do.
I wouldn't mind adding an e60 M5 to the stable, this would complete the dream line up. I don't think we will ever see a v10 in a sedan again. It's a legend, albeit the driving experience is a lot more affected by the electronics, unlike the e39 M5.
I know, I know, I'll shut up about it.....

I almost bought the E60 M5 but it would be a daily driver and I'm not interested in the Rod Bearing issues. They are super hard to find in 6 spd manual with good mileage and the SMG is too touchy and another huge expense I was uninterested in. I have a buddy with a Modded F10 M5 and it is a BEAST!! But still doesn't have the soul of the E39

They can show anything on paper, and you have 2700$ in fees and taxes :/. not sure what they are doing. Yours is 39 months and 15k, the 15k is considered high miles. Mine are always 10K. Wonder why they dont have a sign and drive off like we do
And this is legit I have asked about it while I was getting my rear toe arms replaced.

What ANMVQ is saying is that the RE7R01A can handle a max tq of 330 lb/ft or so at the wheels. The Q50RS is listed as 350 lb/ft, which is ~300 lb/ft at the wheels. Any engine tuning of the Q50RS will easily bump that to over 330 lb/ft at the wheels, thus placing the transmission in a area of increased failure. Hence, anyone who flashes this car will need a new transmission.
The transmission has long been the Achilles heel of this car, either in G37/Q50 or in Q50 form. I've wondered why they didn't use the transmission from the M56, as that car puts out 417 lb/ft of torque.
