Goodbye to my G...

The day was marked once I began longing for an MT, and missed one deal of a lifetime. When a second chance presented itself, I couldn't turn a blind eye...

Thanks guys!

The Z is very nimble, very noisy, and a ton of fun! I didn't realize how wide this car is. It has hips and azz like a Brizilian! I may need a NSFW magnet at the rear!

I've always loved Z's, but never thought that I'd actually own one. No regrets! However, I will miss my G and hope that you guys don't mind me hanging around here. I'm not joining the Z forums (but I'll lurk)!

A NISMO Z, no less. Well done, OP. I love the red accent trim on that model, particularly the sculpted design of the side sills. Wish we had something like that.

I have to say, pretty surprised by this. Didn't realize you were wanting a 6MT that bad. (Not that I can blame you.)

Don't know if you've been reading up on 6MT mod opportunities, but there are two very obvious ones: the RJM Clutch Pedal Assembly, and a Short-Throw Shifter. Both are of the why-didnt-i-do-that-immediately variety.

Anyway, congrats! Beautiful, driver's car you've got there.

not a fan of the new nismo rims, but everything else is nice. Big diff from a 7at sedan to a 6mt coupe with a little added hp. enjoy!

Congrats! I love the 370Z NISMO. Even though you've moved on from the G, you still stayed in the family. Congrats again and enjoy the ride!!!

Congrats on the new ride. How does the revmatch feature compare to downshifting on your G?

My only experience with this was in 2009, test-driving a new 370 with the SyncroRev Match feature. It was pretty amazing, kind of magical the way it did the work for you. Although also pretty easy to spoof unless you go directly and immediately into the gear you are intending to downshift into.

While the perfect downshift is a beautiful thing, I've never mastered heel & toe. So I wish we had it in our cars.

Roger, you liking the SyncroRev Match?

Very nice move Roger, sad to see your nice G go, but hopefully it'll find a good home

Great looking Z, and if you've been longing for a MT you made a nice choice for sure.

Keep us posted on any plans you have and no need to fade away. You've made a lot of friends here and you stayed Nissan so you're good to go!
