Scratches on stock maple wood. Try this out

I had some not so pleasant scratches on my stock maple wood trim. It really took away any of the beauty, especially when the light hit it.

This past weekend I used Meguiars PlastX, then Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Polish, and finally Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax. I only had time to do the radio/AC center console and the gear shifter console. It truly did a fantastic job. I would say I got 90% off, I really believe (but did not try so I have no proof) if I used the Meguiars Ultimate compound that 99% would be removed.

Now I can really see the beauty of the wood. I can see all the grains, the depth, etc. Very pleased with the results so far. This is certainly not a rush type of job, however, especially for the radio/ac console as you have to carefully tape off all the buttons as you do not want those liquids getting on them.

I used my hand strength, no machine.

This upcoming weekend, I will do the rest of the wood in my interior.

PlastX is the product that does the amazing part with scratches on soft plastics. It also works great if you great inevitable scratches on the instrument cluster bezel. Any soft plastic scratches are worth trying the PlastX.
