Service question @ 30k miles
I have looked online, here on the forums, in the service manual, and local meets. Even went into the local Nissan dealer for the 30k printout. I am looking for real life opinions from real owners who have vested interest in their cars.
I'm at 32k miles. I have done my oil changes on time but need my 30k service obviously. From what I can read and hear the only real item I need is a brake flush. It's being done at the dealer as I have no means or ability to do it myself and the peace of mind is worth the cost.
There is a "part I" and "part II" schedule in the manual for care of the car. Part II is more in depth and clearly more expensive.
I'm fine with either but don't want to burn more money than necessary at this dealer but I do need the car to last 200k miles and beyond.
Breakdown of items to do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Congratz on your 30k milestone. Not too much needs to be done yet. It's good to flush out the brakes every few years as moister will get into the system but not exactly necessary for your 2013 IMO. Another thing you might want to look into is the differential. You will find quite a bit of shavings from the break in period so it'll be good to clean them out. Just make sure all the other fluids are topped off.

^Agreed...differential drain & fill. If you have AWD, there are 2 diffs plus the transfer case (takes ATF).

Brake fluid, rear-diff fluid, general multi-point inspection... that's it, AFAIK. That said, you don't have to obsess over it and rush to the shop. Relax. I also just hit 30k last week. My car is all grown up, LOL.
There's a psychological component to these service intervals, and it's one that dealerships love to reinforce. Some even go so far as to insist you're "free" lifetime oil changes are void if you don't spend big dollars on service charges. It's very predatory.

I guess I'm one of the people that they target because I definitely have been stressed out over it. I'll get those scheduled. Thanks Roch.
