My auto 2012 G37S does not make this noise at all and I drive her pretty hard In back winding roads where my rpm's stay at 5k-6k since in sports mode.
They are throwing you a wet towel.

I am glad you did not hear the noise...
I found this video from someone on Youtube. The high pitched noise at 00:04 is exactly the same as my car at high rpm. We both have 2013 g37x.

So I can't hear the noise in the vids, but what you describe is the same for my '13 sedan. Took it to dealer who said nothing was wrong and it was normal. Still skeptical as my friend bought a '13 with same options same day, and has never had the issue (I drove both back to back to compare). After getting the 30k service with trans fluid change, it just got a lot better, but still there.

My car is a 12' sedan "s" auto with a high pitched sound at high Rpms. The best sound description I have is the high pitched sound that a Toyota Previa makes. Whistle/buzz sound. I brought my car to the dealer and they didn't seemed concerned or found anything wrong. I was thinking that the sound would be produced somewhere in the intake manifold or exhaust. However I don't think it's harming anything.
