Thanks guys. After one year, moved on to the Q50.

After a year of Q40 ownership, all the while pining away for the Q50, I pulled the trigger.

My rationale was that I just couldn't pay $10,000 more for the 50, just for sexier sheetmetal and higher tech. My Q40 was $31,510.

Well, I got a chance to get a $44,150 MSRP, Premium/Nav/Leather Q50 for just $32,226. I couldn't pass it up. My Dad is going to take over my 40 lease informally, it's still in my name.

This forum was the first one that I've been banned from. I posted about beating a Mustang. It got removed and I thought that I didn't hit the post button. When I re-posted I got banned. Live and learn.

Even though I love the look and tech of the 50, the acceleration, steering feel, suspension (vs run flats on the 50) and exhaust note is better on the Q40/G37.

Thanks for all the knowledge/education and support.

+2 on the pics!

And I've been a busy bee studying and reading up on all the rules and whatnot on the forum lol... I'm pretty sure he got banned bc of rule #5 when it comes to posting...

5. We do not condone ANY STREET RACING, HIGH SPEEDS or UNSAFE DRIVING on public roads!
As such, any and all videos, pictures or discussions relating to the above will be deleted without notice.
Repeat offenders, will be banned.

MyG37 wholeheartedly supports "taking it to the track".
If your topic is track related, you may post it.

But mistakes happen and good to have ya back Fates. Can't wait to take a look at the new Q.

Congrats on your new Q50 Fateswarning!

I myself own a 2015 Q50S AWD and loving it.

I would recommend looking into either the Infiniti Sport Muffler or Stillen's catback or axle back exhaust for the return of the wonderful VQ sound.

Stillen sway bars are another mod that will greatly improve the handling...also Tanabe FSTB. Not sure if you are RWD or AWD, but Stillen only has the rear sway bar available for AWD Q50's...front & rear for RWD.

Simple K&N drop in filters will further help with airflow or for more bling, go for a full intake system.

Check out 2014 Infiniti Q50 Forum if you haven't yet.

I posted about beating a kid in a 4.6 Mustang. I was surprised to beat a V8. Turns out I shouldn't have been. It got pulled but I thought I forgot hit post. I re-posted and was thus banned for posting about street racing.

Mea Culpa.

Yeah. As much as I like the looks of the 50, interior and exterior, there are elements of the 40 that is miss, like the beautiful exhaust note. The 50 is a bit neutered. I don"t miss the wheels though.

Mine's a RWD, not much need for AWD in San Diego. A guy at my dealership had the intake, exhaust and full body kit. It was pretty sweet. I don't know if I'll be dropping any more cash on it any time soon. I'm jealous of the mean looking sport facia like your S has.

Thanks for the heads up on the Q50 site. I've been over there for a while coveting their rides.

P.S. For some reason I don't really like Stillen and Vossen.

I would highly recommend looking into the Infiniti Sport Muffler Kit if you are missing the Q40's growl. It will put a smile to your face each and every time you step on the throttle.

Just look at yours as a "smile" and the mine like a "frown"...both looking good in my opinion.

(I understand what you mean by your statement about Stillen and Vossen, but it's all marketing and business is business...good and bad).

Yeah. The frown looks way better. It seems to be muted in black more than the higher contrast on lighter colors.

I'll have to look into the muffler.

Many hours spent detailing her. Wash, clay, nanoskin, polish with the Porter Cable DA polisher, Klasse sealant, P21S pure carnuba, Sonus acrylic glanz spray sealant, 303 aerospace, Stoner invisible glass cleaner, Meguiars hot shire tire dressing...

With all the money I spent on products I could have bought that exhaust.

Thanks for the link. It's a little pricey but it would be nice.

I like the look of the blue tips that some have. I need to learn to re-size pics.
